Centre Ellis faces an uncertain future after serious injury
The 24-year-old was one of Luton’s star players last season and his impressive performances caught the attention of the Bedford Blues.
After completing a move to the Blues in September, Ellis returned to Luton just six weeks later but tore his ACL on his second appearance for the club.

Hide AdAllen said: “Steve has seen a surgeon and confirmed he has torn his ACL and needs complete knee reconstruction. He’s looking at spending up to 12-14 months out of the game. It’s devastating for him and for us it’s really affected us.”
Having only signed a deal until the end of the season, Allen admits he is unsure if the Ellis will pen a contract extension especially after learning the inside centre could miss over a year of rugby.
He continued: “I’ve spoken with Steve. He is going to make no decisions about his future because he doesn’t know where he is going to be.
“He has 12 months after the surgery, which he has not had yet to work out where life will take him.”
